The Parafilm® M Sealing Film, 250' × 2", is designed to provide reliable sealing and protection for laboratory containers and equipment. This semi-transparent, colorless film conforms to a wide range of surfaces, ensuring secure coverage of flasks, tubes, and other labware. Its flexible, thermoplastic construction allows effective protection against moisture and contamination during routine laboratory operations.

Manufactured from polyolefins and paraffin waxes, the film is non-toxic and free from plasticizers. This composition provides resistance to acids, alkalis, and certain organic solvents, enhancing its versatility in chemical and biological applications. It is not recommended for use with acetone, diethyl ether, or tetrachloride due to potential solvent interactions. The material is suitable for applications requiring short-term containment and protection of sensitive samples.

Parafilm M features two-way stretch, allowing up to 200% elongation to adhere tightly to irregularly shaped surfaces and containers. Its moldable nature ensures consistent coverage and a secure seal, reducing the risk of leakage, evaporation, or contamination. The film’s clarity allows visual inspection of sealed contents without removal.
