Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture, Undyed Braided, Size 1, 27" with CT-1 needle, is an absorbable surgical suture designed for effective tissue approximation and ligation. The suture is composed of polyglactin 910, a synthetic copolymer known for its predictable absorption profile and reliable tensile strength. 

This suture features a specialized antibacterial coating that inhibits bacterial colonization on the suture surface. In vitro studies have demonstrated that Coated Vicryl Plus creates a zone of inhibition against common surgical site pathogens including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE). 

The CT-1 taper point needle offers precise and atraumatic penetration through soft tissues. Its half-circle curvature facilitates maneuverability in confined or delicate surgical fields, minimizing tissue trauma. The undyed suture maintains neutral coloration, allowing for versatility across various surgical applications.
