Suture, 4/0 8-18 CTD VICRYL™ UND BR RB-1 is a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of glycolide and lactide. It features a braided configuration coated with a mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, enhancing its handling characteristics and reducing tissue drag.

This suture is designed for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, excluding use in cardiovascular and neurological tissues. The 4-0 size provides a balance between tensile strength and minimal tissue trauma, making it appropriate for subcuticular closure, skin closure, and delicate internal tissue layers.

The RB-1 needle is a precision-engineered 3/8 circle taper point needle, 17 mm in length. It is designed for smooth passage through soft tissues, providing minimal trauma during placement. The suture comes in a configuration of 8 strands, each measuring 18 inches, allowing controlled and repeated application in multilayer closures or multiple small procedures.
