The silk fibers undergo a purification process to eliminate natural waxes and gums, ensuring a refined material suitable for medical use. The result is a biologically stable strand with consistent tensile strength and excellent compatibility with tissue.

The suture is coated with a proprietary wax mixture that enhances lubricity and handling. This coating facilitates smooth passage through tissue, minimizes drag, and reduces trauma during placement.
