ETHIBOND EXCEL SUTURE, CT-2, Size 0, Green, 8" x 18" is a nonabsorbable, braided surgical suture designed for reliable tissue approximation and long-term wound support. It is composed of high-molecular-weight, long-chain linear polyesters containing recurrent aromatic rings, providing strength and durability in demanding surgical environments. The nonabsorbable nature ensures sustained tensile strength without degradation over time.

The braided construction enhances flexibility and handling, allowing precise knot placement and secure tissue closure. The suture is uniformly coated with a polybutilate or similar compound, which acts as a mechanical lubricant. This coating reduces friction during passage through tissue and improves knot tie-down smoothness while maintaining minimal tissue reactivity.

The green coloration improves visibility against tissue, facilitating accurate placement during surgical procedures. The attached CT-2 needle features a 1/2 circle curvature with a 26 mm size, supporting controlled penetration and maneuverability in confined operative fields.
