The Vacutainer Whole Blood Collection Tubes with Anticoagulant, Solution A, Glass, Yellow Closure, 8.5 mL are sterile, single-use blood collection tubes designed for venous blood sampling. Each tube contains 1.5 mL of ACD Solution A additive, composed of trisodium citrate, citric acid, and dextrose, which preserves whole blood for laboratory testing. The additive maintains cellular integrity and prevents coagulation, making the tubes suitable for blood banking, histocompatibility testing, and other diagnostic procedures requiring whole blood preservation.

The tubes are constructed of high-quality clear glass, allowing visual confirmation of blood fill volume.
